After we drove back to Pennsylvania, I had a couple of days before I had to fly back to Houston. One of the things I did in that time was to go whitewater rafting, which I talked about in the first slide. Something else I did was to go to a pool party at my friend Jason's house. This is me and Jason (whom we call Jerk), drinking beer and smoking cigars and playing cards. Jerk is the one holding the beer, but, if I'm drinking beer also, you can bet I'm losing at cards. Which, thinking back, is exactly what happened. My friend Bob and I got absolutely creamed against Jerk and another friend of mine, Bubba, playing euchre. I think that's the last time Bob was ever my partner in euchre. You can see in the picture that my shoulders got badly sunburnt in North Carolina.
